Inspiring Women at Culligan Ireland

International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the achievements of women, acknowledge their contributions, and inspire future generations. At Culligan Ireland, we are proud to recognise the incredible women in our team who lead with confidence, determination, and empowerment every day. We spoke to three of our team members – Dannielle Matthews, Sarah Halpin, and Susan Hastings – about what inspires them and how they empower those around them.

Dannielle Matthews (Customer Service Manager)

Katie Taylor has always been a source of inspiration for me. She pushed herself in a male-dominated sport to be the best she can be and succeed. She is a strong Irish woman and an inspiration to all women.

I advocate for myself, make my voice heard, and make it count. I encourage all women around me to do the same and strive for their dreams – anything is possible!

Sarah Halpin (HR Manager)

Favourite Inspirational Quote: “Am I good enough? Yes, I am.” – Michelle Obama

One of the women who inspires me the most is Brené Brown. As an academic and podcaster, she speaks on the topics of shame, vulnerability, and leadership. Her TEDx Talk on the Power of Vulnerability is something I refer to often, and each time I watch it, I take away something new. Her Netflix special The Call to Courage is something I encourage everyone to watch. One of my favourite quotes from Brené is: “Daring greatly means having the courage to be vulnerable; it means to show up and be seen, to ask for what you need, to talk about how you’re feeling, to have the hard conversations.”

I empower myself by continuously challenging myself to grow and learn in a healthy way. I strive to empower other women by offering support, celebrating their successes, and creating a safe space where we can support and inspire each other.

Susan Hastings (Finance Director)

Edwina Dunn, Founder of The Female Lead, is an inspiration to me. The Female Lead is a women’s empowerment community that showcases stories of diverse, successful women across various industries. It is always inspiring to hear how other women succeed in life and in the workplace.

I have always embraced learning and growth and focused on staying true to myself. I really enjoy supporting other women and like to create a safe, supportive space, always encouraging others to take on new challenges and believe in themselves. I have had some great mentors throughout my career who have given me the confidence to go for my goals, and I like to do the same for others.
